Hey lovelies. Here is my deviantART story. If you are interested please read on...
1. How long have you been on DeviantArt?
9 years!! WOW. I first started dA at the tender age of 15. I've grown up SO much since then. Which is probably a good sign in a whole 9 years.
2. What does your username mean?
I have always been fascinated by dreams, especially my own. As a child I was plagued with vivid nightmares. Now I have mastered the art of lucid dreaming (knowing when I am dreaming) so that I am able to manipulate nasty dreams into something I am in control of. I can also both fly and breathe under water in my dreams because I am aware that I am dreaming. Dreams have always inspired my artwork and writing. I am also a massive dreamer while I'm awake. I dream big and I dream often. I reach for the stars and will work hard until I get there and make all my big dreams come true.3. Describe yourself in three words.
Dreamer. Saint*. Friend.*By 'saint' I refer to the fact I am a child of God saved in Jesus Christ. Nothing more.
4. Are you left or right handed?
Right handed.5. What was your first deviation?
A little poem I wrote back when I was about 14:
Dragons And DreamcatchersI'm chasing my dreams
Beyond the horizon;
Into the sky,
And up to the clouds.
I'm clothed in a rainbow;
In swirling, silk robes,
Streaming with sashes,
And sparkling shrouds.
Dragons and Dreamcatchers - By Sara Linton
Weirdly, it really sums me up as an artist still. 6. What is your favourite type of art to create?
Colourful, textured, storybook-style digital illustrations.7. If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?
I'd love to be a master of oil paints. Maybe one day!8. What was your first favourite?
This bad-boy, as I expect is the case with many deviants!
This first "love" actually lead me to save up my allowance for a whole year so that I could buy shimoda7
's original dancer
Yes, the original! It is proudly framed in my house still.
9. What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?
The kind of art that I would love to be able to create one day. And the kind of art that sucks me into its world and inspires me to build one of my own.
10. Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?
I'd probably have to go with ethe
. Her creative use of colour to create beautiful, shiny new worlds is absolutely incredible. I'm drawn to cuteness, beauty, colour and depth of imagination, and she nails all that and more!11. If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?
I'd really love to grab a coffee with Kezzi-Rose
, because other than religious views I feel like we're pretty similar in terms of personality. I've also got real respect for her understanding of internet marketing and I'd love to bounce business ideas off her. Unfortunately I've moved from her doorstep to the other side of the globe, so chances have diminished a little.
12. How has a fellow deviant impacted your life? adityapudjo
were all very early supporters of my artwork as a young and inexperienced artist. I was still learning and exploring my creative talents and support and inspiration from other deviants like these gave me great confidence to keep going. It's difficult when no one appears to notice or appreciate your work, and these were the first people who helped me realise my potential and my love for sharing art with others. I thank them for that.13. What are your preferred tools to create art?
My tablet and my imagination. Having a cat nearby is good too.14. What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
At the end of a good book or film or deep delve into the art of others. I feed off the creativity of others.15. What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?
When I got my first (and only) Daily Deviation:
It had been a goal of mine for years and so to have it realised was a fantastic feeling. I felt on top of the world!
